The menu
Myriad’s menu works like a tiling window manager (it’s modelled on Hyprland and Omarchy ). Instead of one big screen of buttons, you get windows arranged on workspaces, and you decide what goes where.
Workspaces
There are nine workspaces, plus one for the HUD. Switch with Alt+1 … 9, or click the numbers in the bar at the top. Use them however suits you: a combat workspace, a building workspace, one for an addon you use on one server.
The bar shows workspaces 1–4 always, and 5–9 while they have windows. The icon after the numbers is the HUD workspace.
Windows
Most windows are category windows: one addon’s modules in one category, titled like Render · Essentials. Addons share the standard categories (Combat, Movement, Render, Player, World, Misc), so their windows sit together. Other windows are tools: Theme, Keybinds, Profiles, Control Panels, Share, the Console, the Profiler and so on. Open any of them from the launcher.
A window can be:
- Tiled: it takes a share of the workspace, and the others make room. Drag the gaps between windows to resize them.
- Floating: it sits on top where you put it. Drag it by its title bar.
- Full screen: it fills the workspace.
The buttons at the right of a title bar float or close the window. Some windows add their own controls there, like a control panel’s on/off switch.
Merging: drag a window by its title bar onto another window’s title bar and they become one window, with each addon as a section. The icon on a section’s header moves it back out.
When you install an addon, its windows open beside the windows of the same categories if there’s room, or on a workspace of their own. A notification says where. Windows you’ve arranged are never moved, and a window you close stays closed (the launcher reopens it).
Layouts
Each workspace has a layout:
- Dwindle (the default): each new window splits the focused one, so a workspace grows into a grid.
- Columns: one column per window, side by side, with each module’s settings unfolding inline. When they don’t all fit, the row scrolls sideways.
Alt+L switches the workspace’s layout.
Keys
The mod key stands in for Super (Hyprland keeps Super for itself). It’s Alt by default; change it in Theme → Preferences.
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
| mod+Space | launcher |
| mod+1…9 / mod+Shift+1…9 | switch workspace / move the window there |
| mod+W / mod+T / mod+F | close / float or tile / full screen |
| mod+J / mod+L | change the split / change the layout |
| mod+Tab / mod+Shift+Tab / mod+Ctrl+Tab | next / previous / last workspace |
| mod+S / mod+Shift+S | the HUD workspace / move the window to the HUD |
| mod+arrows / mod+Shift+arrows | focus / swap with the window that way |
| mod+- / mod+= | shrink / grow the window |
| mod+Return / mod+K | console / keybinds |
| mod+Shift+Space / mod+Shift+Backspace | hide the bar / remove the gaps |
| mod+drag with the left / right mouse button | move / resize |
Every one of these can be changed in the Keybinds window (mod+K).
Without a mouse
Inside a window, j/k (or the arrow keys) move the selection, h/l change a value or fold a section, Enter or Space activate, o unfolds a module’s settings, / jumps to the filter, and Esc leaves a text field or closes the menu.
Using Omarchy? Hyprland takes Alt+Tab for itself: use mod+scroll to change workspace, or pick another mod key.
