Sharing your config
Share your setup as a short code like myriad_JS3k4d. Anyone can look at it on the website, or take it into their
own Myriad in a click: as their settings, or as a control panel to try without losing theirs.
A share can hold any mix of:
- single modules, whole windows (an addon’s category), or every module of an addon;
- control panels;
- your theme (its colours and style; not your personal preferences);
- keybinds, if you choose to include them (they’re left out unless you do).
Share
Open the Share window
From the launcher: type share.
Pick what goes in
Click a window’s card to include all of it, or right-click to unfold it and pick single modules. Switch on control panels, the theme, and keybinds if you want them.
Share it
Give it a title and press Share. The code is copied for you. Send it, or its link:
https://myriadclient.dev/config/myriad_JS3k4d.
From chat: .share module <module>, .share addon <addon>, .share panel <control panel>, .share theme.
What’s never shared
Some settings hold things that are yours alone: a Discord webhook link, coordinates, a file on your computer, the commands of a macro (which could include a password). Addons mark these as private, and a share never contains their values. Others see that the setting exists, never what it’s set to. Taking a share in leaves your own private settings as they are.
Look at one on the website
Open a share’s link: the website shows its modules with their settings, drawn like the menu, in the sharer’s colours. Private settings show as hidden. Nothing to install to look.
Take one in
In the Share window, paste a code (or a link) under Take one in and press Look. It says what’s in it, and whether it needs an addon you don’t have. Then:
- Try as control panel: makes a control panel of its modules and settings and turns it on. Your own settings are untouched underneath: turn the panel off and you’re back to yours. The safest way to try someone’s setup.
- Use these settings: its settings become yours, for the modules in it (private settings excepted), and its modules are turned on or off as they were shared. Its control panels and theme are added too.
From chat: .share try <code> and .share import <code>.
Modules from addons you don’t have are skipped, and Myriad lists them.
Your shares
The bottom of the Share window lists what you’ve shared from this computer: copy a code again, or Delete a share
(it’s gone from the website too). .share lists them in chat and .share delete <code> deletes one. Only the computer
that shared something can delete it.
Shares are public to anyone with the code. Don’t put anything in a title you wouldn’t post.
